Can a Society registered in one State in India have jurisdiction over the Educational Institutions in another State?

Hi,

We have a house in slum area which was on my fathers name and we have all related documents for the same before 1995. This slum in under redevelopment scheme SRA and all documents are submitted in SRA. Now my father got expired and I have submitted his death certificate, Affidavit saying that my elder brother and my mother have no objection in giving this house all rights to me. I have submitted this documents to builder. So my question is can I automaticallybe the eligible member of the society after my father death and can I have the right to be the on the Society Committee.

Please help me with this or guide me what is to be done.
