Settlement Deed

Is it illegal to make a settlement deed to a relative and after a short period of time receive it back as a settlement once again? Can this give and take process continue multiple times? For example father makes settlement deed to son. Then in a period of 2 years father receives it back as settlement from son. Then again in 2 days father makes another settlement to son. Does it pose any legal issues?
