Hi Experts,

       I indeed need an urgent help on the service tax on purchasing flats.

       I know that I have to pay the service tax for purchasing "UNDER Construction" Flat.

       But I have recently bought a flat from a reputed builder in Chennai who has already got "Completion Certificate" from CMDA Authority.

       The  builder asking for the Service tax for purchasing this flat. But when I argued them regarding the rules, they said.. Even though they have got the Completion certificate, I have to pay the service tax.. then only i can register for only for the UDS. Otherwise I need to register for the whole price of my flat which is very expensive than the service tax..

        Could you please guide me on this..
