Kindly advise whether resident welfare association in Housing Complexes are required to pay SERVICE TAX, as they are mainly rendering service to the members and residents ?

As the service is being provided by the welfare association to its members only this service does not attract Service Tax.
No service tax is payable since it amount to self service.
Member Strength 9,46,641 and growing..
