Selling converted agricultural property (house)

Hi,

I heard there's a case pending judgement that currently any Agricultural Property that was converted shouldn't be purchased or sold. Is the case done? Can we sell a property - land was agricultural land before, but it is a constructed house with proper Panchayat Approval.

Kindly help with inputs ...

Yes, agricultural land, if converted to residential or industrial land by consent from a proper authority, can be sold/purchased. However, note that the agricultural land converted for, say residential purpose, cannot be used for industrial purposes, and vice versa.
