Mr.X was promoted on adhoc basis as Executive Engineer from assistant engineer and served for two years and three months.A criminal case was registered against him by anti corruption wing of vigilance deptt. he was placed under suspension and got reinstated after six months.The criminal case is still pending. Now the regular DPC for the post of Executive Engineer is held and his promotion is under sealed cover. Can he continue to be Executive Engineer on Ad hoc basis or will he be reverted back to his previous post of assistant engineer

Will be reverted as he was ad-hoc and now regular selectee will fill the post.

During criminal cae he is not entitled to renewal of ad-hoc arrangement ieven if an ad-hoc vacancy is there.
