I filed RTI with DDA to get some documents including inspection reports of a group housing society. The DDA revelated my identity to the group housing society through official letters asking for consent. This is violation of the RTI act and an order from Kolkata High Court. This resulted into defamation and social isolation by my apartment people. Can I sue DDA for defamation and ask for financial damages ? OR the suit shall be for breach of confidentiality and privacy or breach of trust ? Which is the most prominent one and is there a precedent of same kind ?
