If it is a forged cheque, apply for copy of the cheque and get such authenticated certificate from approved lab like TRUTH LABS, Hyderabad and immedialy reply stating that complainant has stolen the cheque and forged the signature.

After getting such certificate from lab, you can submit that documentary evidence.

How that cheque reached the complaint is the issue and as a common man, I can not believe that any individual can file the case, knowing that it was a forged one.

First you have to engage a Lawyer.  By getting an advice in this forum you cannot fight a case.  The onus of proving that the signature on the cheque is not yours but is a forged signature is on you.  It is for you to prove that the cheque is forged. If you claim that the signature is forged, you should explain as to how the  complainant obtained the blank cheque/s from you.  Please ensure that you go to Court with clean hands without hiding any facts.  If at a later date the facts tumble out of you through a severe cross examination, it will affect your case.
