Registered power of attorney

A,B,C has given a power of attorney to their relative in India. It is a registered one.Now the agent wants to cancell it from his end.He doesnt want to act upon it.How do we legally cancel it?The principles are staying abroad. The principles have no objection in getting the POA cancelled. But it is only to ensure that later on there sudnt be an issue regarding this and the cancellation sud in some legal format. The POA was for a partition issue and its almost 10 years old POA.The agent has acted only recently by receiving a summons from the court. But now he doesnt want act furthur on it.The court case is coming up before the court in next month.

I understand that the registered POA has to cancelled by a registerd revocation deed, if the cancellation is from the principles end.But here the agent wants to cancell it.

Will it be enough if we prepare an affidavit and produce before the court about the relectunce to act as attorney.

Will an intimation to them from the agent will be sufficient to cancel the POA?
