IOCL is a PSU holding maharatna status.It recruits engineers in officer grade A in pay scale of 24900-50000 from GATE examination.In year 2013,some 200 engineering graduates were recruited in grade A0, 20600-46000,lower than entry level grade earlier.The recruitment was made thorugh GATE examination only.During selection process,the candidates were informed that this grade is one grade lower to grade A and would be promoted to grade in 1 or 2 years.No policy was shared during our recruitment.It has now been more than a year and still no policy has been formulated for our career progression.IOCL has stopped recruiting people in grade A0 and recuitment in grade A is still continued making grade A0 junior in hierarchy to people that have been selected afterwards.Eligible people from staff cadre are promoted to Grade A and not grade A0.The organization has not made clear out position in the hierarchy and giving staff benefit over us for promotions.One officer rank is being bypassed in this process.The organization has not come out with any official communication regarding out policy.What should we do to stop this expolitation.
