Recovery procedure

We have obtained the recovery certificate against defaulters from Deputy Registrars court

I understnad the recovery department will proceed with the recovery

May I know the exact procedure and how long it takes to recover the money ?

Further can the defaulter go for appal ? I undertsnad the defaulter has to first pay 50% o fthe amount before going in for appeal ?
