My friend filed Sec 9 of Hindu Marriage Act previously and few months ago he filed 26 of hindu marraige act with 151 cpc for custody of 3 yrs old baby girl. The honourable court ordered for Reconciliation on the next Monday. In the mean time my friend's mother has beenadmitted at hospital and still she is admitted there. Now my question is can my friend remain absent with petition at the honourable court as his mother is admitted there in serious condition ? Can the court take any adverse step against my friend for not attending the court ordered reconciliation on the specific date ? Plz help and give your valuable feedback....

Your friend can send medical papers pertaining to mother critical condition to court by means of his advocate or other person. In same time can drop email to presiding officer stating all the facts.
Nothing will go against him, next date will be granted.
