Re-submission of document allowed when suit transferred?

Once submitted (Bahi-Khatavni - daily transaction entries) document in civil suit by plaintiff and his cross-examination started, in between the suit transferred to lower court, the plaitiff died, his legal heirs collected the same document from court clark in self custody of upper court without any applciation or court orders and again submitting in the same suit in lower court.

Is this allowed? should lower court grant re-submission of same documents which was not transferred with the court procedure to lower court?
What is the defence of defendent to not allow submission? As the plaitiff may have done changes in the Bahi-khatavni as per the WS filed by defendent?

Any case laws to oppose?
