Is non printing of a green mark in the label of a pack containing vegetarian product amounts to an offence under Prevention of Food Adulteration Act/Rules?

Sir, Prevention of food adultration Act includes the lebelling laws for all packaged food in India. The square with green cirlcle inside symbolises 100% veg food and one with brown circle symbolises non veg food. Even if there is a single non veg ingredient, you cannot put green symbol. It is mandatory to disclose the ingredients else one can file a consumer case.

Sir, All food items which dont have any ingredient from animal origin has to be branded with geen label. So, it is necessary that it has to be mentioned on pack of wheet rice or cornflour. And all these items come under the definition of food under the Act. But usually we find green mark and brown mark only on processed food items in the market.
