Hello....i need immediate help....i was out of India and when I came back...my door has a number (alphabet and 2-digit number) and the date written in chalk...can this be a police complaint or fir number?
There is no other notice or letter left....please help as soon as possible..

A police complaint or FIR no. is not written as such.. there are many surveys done by the local govt. bodies such as representatives coming for polio vaccination or any such activity or survey done by local municipal corp or govt or semi govt bodies and those ppl do put up such nos. by chalk on the houses they visited perhaps for identification purpose. This is very common.
