i m working as journalist in Goa , some were in 2014 one party from mumbai sent me notice of defamation amounting rs 1 cr. with me there are another 7 news paper representative also served this notice ...the news which we were carried was based on Panjim police FIR and was of 420 ..that time i contacted one of my good friend who is advocte ,he told me not to worry we will file reply , now again some notice has come and case is on 22 jan 2015 ...what shall i do
i dont know wheter last reply was filed or not ...how to find out ?
pls guide me...

@AAAA: The case is disposed, it means that the case has come to an end, you may clarify from your advocate or the visit the office of the court and get to know the disposal details in person.

@Anil: Since the opposite party has filed a defamatory case against you, it is better to engage a lawyer and attend the case in the court.
