Dear all, What are to be draw from IO during her cross examination in connection with criminal trial u/s 354,509,294 and 342 of IPC. there is some fact written by the IO in 161 statement of wittnessess but the wittnesses deposed before court in variation of some fact to there 161. the wittnesses are not confronted on the same. can it be permissible to ask IO that " the deposition of pw1 reads as xxx to xxx was not stated before you during recordning of 161 or what she stated during 161 about on such etc. what should be the main objective and purpose to cross examine the IO..
