Purchase of agriculture land after na in gujarat state


Dear Sirs, My father-in-law in Gujarat is having an agriculture land in his name. He gets the land NA (non agriculture) by following proper procedure. NA/certificate orders are also received before around 9 months. Now my query is as follows 1) Can he purchase new agriculture land in his name? If yes, is there any time frame within which he needs to purchase agriculture land to retains his farmer status. 2) Is there any law like once a farmer, always a farmer by which he can purchase any agricuture land throughout his life as he used to be a farmer once. Thanks to all in advance.

Your father while getting permission and handling such matters must have understood local state rules/laws on such matters.

Or you may prefer to discuss in person with a very able senior LOCAL counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in such/revenue/civil matters having a successful track record….

The counsel can look into; Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, amendments, judicial pronouncements and advise you….properly on land ceiling if any.
