Proving someone's identity is real on fb

Hello all

I'm posting on behalf of a friend. He's got stuck in a police case where the accuser has colluled with the investigating officer and booked him in a case. Now my friend has done searching online and found the officer's FB profile in which the accuser's name shows in his friends list. There are few posts on FB from the accuser to the officer's FB wall. All this activity is from much before the FIR was booked. What's the best way to document this legally? He has screenshots and all but he is sure that the officer will say its fake and take down the account and then the onus will be on his to prove it.

Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide.

@ K Rao,

Just try to understand one thing. The Complainant/accuser can befriend the IO even after lodging the complaint by bribing him or by otherwise. One need not be pre-associated with an IO to lodge a complaint and get it FIRd according to his whims and fancies and it is just the money which speaks. So the fact that he is already known to the IO before the complaint is lodged and hence FIR is only filed in collusion with the IO is not sufficient to prove that the complaint/FIR is malafide.

If on the facebook page, there is any conversation between the IO and the complainant which reveals that the accused is innocent, you can make use of it, but these matters will not bediscussed in social media like FB.

So you have to find other means to defend the case.
