Property of grand parents become property of grand childern

hai

           can anyone pls tell whether the property of grand father will be transferred to gandchildren after his death or not.

note: wife of grand father is alive and no wil was wrote by him

Yes, in my opinion, the paternal grandchildren, along with all the children of the grandfather, would be entitled to share in the ancestral property of the grandfather on his death (upon notional partition,) assuming he was the Karta.

Property inherited by a Hindu from his father, father’s father or father’s fathers’ father, is ancestral property.

Any property acquired by the Hindu great grand father, which then passes undivided down the next three generations up to the present generation of great grand son/daughter.

The property of deceased father (grandfather as in query) shall devolve upon his ClassI legal heirs i.e; Mother (if alive as on date of death), wife (if alive as on date of death),Sons and daughters,  ...................if son has predeceased then sons' son................

 

Are sons and daughters of deceased father not alive!
