If an executive body of an apartment association fails to get the accounts audited and does not submit the requisite details of books and recepts/vouchuers and does not cooperate with the auditor and the adhoc committee constituted for overseeing the audit of accounts, what action can a general members of an apartment association can take.

They shaould pass the resulution and prepare the report and hand over the case to police for cheating and misappropiation.

The proper course is complaining to the Registrar of societies and praying for conducting a General Body meeting as immediately as possible to resolve the disputes and to safeguard the interest of the society members. The member has a right to issue such Legal notice through advocate reducing all violations in writing. This also amounts to a deficiency of services and if every step fails, District Consumer Forum is final option without expenses.
