If someone is accused of rape & the local media prints his name & address then can he file a case against such reporter/media house ?? If yes then under which laws ? (And later on charges were proven false)

Unfortunately nothing can be done. If it is true that he was accused and they reported it, then it is not illegal. Accused individuals don't have right to privacy from being reported by media. However they can sue the accusing party of defamation if it can be proven that the allegation was false (not just that it was not proven in court but the allegation was provably false).

agreed.  Media persons while reportingsuch cases do take care to put gun on police shoulder.  They always report that so and so is accused of so and so offence.  They neve say that he committed the offence.
