Power of attorney

A person who is residing in Singapore is appointed as Director /Designated partner/ Managing partner of a company in India.

Can he excecute Power of attorney in the name of a person in India to delegate his duties as director/DP/Partner in his personal capacity.

Delegation also includes power to sign cheques.

Is there any restriction in Companies Act or anyother law?

Hope you shall take it positively.

The establishment may preferably refer the matter to its legal cell/counsel/ law firm and obtain legal opinion, and file the legal opinion.

The establsihment can afford it also.
