I had purchase a vehicle (car) in 1996. It was registered in my name in Kerala. I paid the tax for my vehicle in Kerala till 2005.
The vehicle was then taken to Karnataka for use there and was never again used in Kerala. In Karnataka they asked me to pay life tax the I paid the same there.
I want to re-register the vehicle since it is more than 15years old. I cannot do it in Karnataka since it is registered in Kerala.
How can I re-register my vehicle? Should I pay the tax from 2005 onwards in Kerala for re-registering it in Kerala or for obtaining a No Objection Certificate for changing the registration to some other state?
Should I re-register before applying for NOC?
