You can obtain another dupicate patta passbook from the revenue department by applying in a proper way

Thank you for the reply ! Can you please elaborate if the person can sell or do any misdeed by holding the patta document . (Though its on the name of my forefather)

You can file an injunction suit against the land property for not to sell it. Please meet a lawyer.
