Parking rights

Hi,

I have been a tenant for more than three years in a certain society in Mumbai and was clearly told that I would not be permitted to park my cark in the society premises as it is reserved only for members (flat owners).

I later found out that there are certain members who have parked more than 01 (car) in the premises and certain members have more than 2 bikes parked inside.

My car was stolen from outside the building almost two years ago.

I am aware of the byelaws pertaining to the allocation of parking space within the society premises, nonetheless

My questions are:-

1.   In the circumstances that I have mentioned is it legal to prohibit the parking of tenants vehicles in the society premises, when space is actually available?

2.   In case I have some guests or a friend who stays over for a period of 20 to 25 days with the prior approval of the flat owner, am I required to inform the society in writing about the same as well.

Thanks
