Ownership rights of adopted person in the property

Dear sir,

Under hindu law (R) a person has been adopted by his real uncle (S)  from his natural father (M) and they hold a property under joint hindu family. Now (R) is the only son of his natural father (M) adopted by (S). what would be the status of ownership of property owned by  natural father (M) after his death. whether it is inherited to (R) adopted child or not...??

Advocate Bhartesh goyal (advocate)     20 June 2014

R has no right over the properties of M. R can not claim his right  as he has been given in adoption

a child given away in adoption cannot claim any right in the property of his biological father.

adv. rajeev ( rajoo ) (practicing advocate)     20 June 2014

If any person gone in adoption he looses all his rights over his natural father's property.
