Your paternal aunties (if they are not alive, their legal heirs) have equal rights in your grandmother's intestate property which is share equal to that of your father's entitlement in the property. Hence it is better to sit and talk to  them about family settlement/partitioning through negotiations on the issues of financial settlements, get their relinquishment through a registered release deed in all our favor, then go for construction or disposal of the same.  Better consult a local lawyer for such arrangements.

wo kehte hai k jo karna hai karo but hume pareshan mat karo.
