Occupancy certificate , who has to give??

Hi All,

If an house is completed construction, Who has to give the Occupancy/ Completion Certificate to the buyer?

Some says the local authority has to provide to Promoters' then from promoters to buyer &  some says its the promoters gives to Buyer.

Who has to provide & which is valid & proper one?

Please clarify. Thanks.

A. Once construction is completed that should be communicated with local authority.

B. After scrutinized by the authority engineer, later Completion Certificate or Occupancy Certificate would be issued by the authority subject to absence of deviation, violations etc.

C. The promoter has the liability to provide the OC or CC to customer or buyer.
