Notice period VRS on EOL

Dear friends,

 

I am on Extraordinary leave EOL from 3-2-2011 on medical grounds. During EOL can I apply for VRS ; if possible  whether I have to apply for VRS with 3 months notice period  or not.

The notice period will start from the date of your intimation for volutary retirement.You can send in your VRS application while you are on extrarinary leave.

It is not clear who is your employer.  It is not clear if CCS(Pension) Rules apply to you.  But while on any kind of leave (padi/unpaid) you continue to be in service for all practical purposes including the notice for VR.

I am working in dept of space govt of india trivandrum as a group A officer. CCS pension rules are applicable. I have completed 25 years of service as on 23-12-2010.  I have completed 49 years as on 29-7-2011. meanwhile  I had joined duty on 5-9-2011 and again took eol on medical grounds from 12-9-2011. my leave expires on 30-11-2011. please give me a reply.
