Notice for retirement

Dear Sir,

I am working in a pvt Company since 2 years. My date of birth is  12.10.1952.

1.my offer letter is silent on age at retiremnt. on my asking before i joined, HR mailed me that as of now(2 yrs back) the age is 60 which is likely to undergo arevision and that the company is hiring  persons aged 60 plus also. this led me to believe that age at retirement in this Company would be 60 plus. recently they posted on Company site that age at retirement would be 60. still we have people aged 63-64 yrs on rolls. Do I have any recourse?

2.the notice for separation is 60 days in case of resignation/removal. for my likely retirement on the 12th Oct,2012, no offocial intimation has been given to me so far.  is this notice period applicable to retiremennt also.

pl help,

thanks and regards

S K Sinha

There is no notice applicable for retirement. You keep silent before which

your company shall take decision on retirement age.

If you have enough knowledge and wisdom you can get good offer as

consultant
