Sec 159 of Evidence Act lays down that when a witness is examined in the witness box he may be gìven opportunity to refresh his memory by referring to any wrìting or document. you may show any writing of witness or a document concerned totransaction for refreshing his memory and document must be original.

Can you elaborate? What document you want to confront him with ? For example if you have made payment which he has not shown, you can confront him with bank statement.
