Need for anti land grabbing legislation

Set of eml sent to Legislators
Dear All,

Our Indian Penal Code very well defines the Theft of Movable property.

However theres no application of this concept to IMMOVABLE PROPERTY / LAND / FLAT/ APARTMENT, which is done by simply trespassing and wrongful restrain.

While theft itself is punishable with 3 years imprisonment, trespass/wrongful restrain is punishable with hardly 3/1 months of imprisonment.

There is thus need for either a legislation like AP against land grabbing as per my understated mail OR a stringent provision in IPC.

I Hope it concerns the concerned and plight of the people who own immovable property.

Thanks

Subject: Need of Anti-Land Grabbing Legislation
To: Chief Minister office

To the CMO,
It is common in the whole State there is constant effort to grab land and extorting properties by mafia and other.
The only state which has made law on prevention of land grabbing is AP right in 1982 [33 years past].
The statewide problem of this malice is humungous.
Therefore an anti property grabbing law can be brought in.
Do consider
