What is there to apply. Do they distribute jobs there?

If both the parties agree the matter can be referred to Lokadalat.

If both parties irrespective of whatever might be the case can always settle issues and bid adieu to court roaming. Without parties agreeing no point in attending lol adalat, it be waste of some more time.

I also have a question on the LokAdalat proceedings

My matter of CrPC 125 got disposed off in LokAdalat and there was a MOU signed where both parties were given conditions and directed to stay together.

Wife started to show her true colours and did not complied with even single term from the signed MOU in fronts of the LokAdalat. At the same time husband did complied till alsmost 8 months.

Now wife left husbands home since 1.5 years and asking for recovery u/s 125 even when there is no interim or final maintenance was provided.

Can husband ask to file case u/s 340 for perjury as she has lied in court?

I thank everyone for contribution and giving knowledge.

It seems a prior settlement is necessary before moving to Lok adalat.

My meaning with "applying " to Lok adalat is that I may put up a proposal to come and talk in Lokadalat and try to settle the issues with consultation of some legal counsellor.

It seems my lawyer would put petition in court for referring it to Lok Adalat. then the court would divert it lok adalat right ?
