Name change

What is the procedure for changing name in india? After changing name , is it mandatory to reflect the same in cbse certificates and degree certificate?

first of file a application for gazzate publication for name change. after receiving gazzate publication. publish the name change in any one of the daily news paper.
i hope there is no option to change your name in cbse and degree certificates. but after proper gazzate publication you should accompany the same with your education certificates.

Hi sivaakumar Srinivasan!!
Even I completed my gazette publication but I want apply for fresh passport.
They told that u need change in SSC marks sheet but after one year they don't do any corrections.
Why they passport people not allowing me to as per gazette publication & even my name in Aadhar card,pan& voter ID as I name changed.

I completed my 10th class in 2009. my sir name misprinted as as G SHIVA REDDY instead of SAKAM SHIVA REDDY.
But I completed my btech with G SHIVA REDDY.
For that I prepared state gazette publication as my name is SAKAM SHIVA REDDY.
EVEN MY PAN CARD & AADHAR CARD are as SAKAM SHIVA REDDY only.
why passport people are sent be back.
