sir/madam, I have a moot court problem. it is a criminal problem. how to identify who is the petitioner and respondent. In the given problem, a doctor is being arrested for consuming marinjuana. but he has previously complained that his laptop was stolen by his assistant. doctors confess all the truth to police. now police finishes the investigation and submits the report to the court for trial. later an amendment comes in an act through which all the accused files for appeal. now my problem is who is the petitioner and respondent in this problem.
