Minimum open space to be maintained in between 2 houses

Dear Sir,

I have a house in that was constructed in 2005, as per the plan approved by the Municipality. There was an asbestos roofed house just behind my house, with an open space of about 4 meters in between the houses. Recently they have demolished the asbestos roofed house that was behind my house and started constructing the concrete house without any open space in between the houses, other than the space left by me. I was requesting them also to keep some open space, equivalent to the open space left by me. But they are denying to do so. Hence, I would like to know, what is the minimum open space requirements to be maintained in between the houses, as per the law or municipality?

Thank you in advance,

if your right is effected you may file injunction suit against them and also file suit for demolition.
