My story goes like this....My father and Mother got seperated when i was 5 years old. Later my first father died in a accident (we got this information after 2 years and we never met him). My mother married my step father later and it is he who made us study and look care of us all there years. The marriage took place in a temple, but we dont have any proof. Now it is nearly 30 years after thier marriage. No divorce papers, no documents and i dont expect my mother to know about this 30 years back.
I have been using my 1st fathers name all these years and in all documents. I think i should change my first fathers name to my step fathers name legaly. I owe my step father atleast this for what he has done to us. Apart from this, i also heard that to get family visa in abroad, fathers name is considered as per passport. I have my first father name in passport. May be if i dont change it, i would not be able to take my stepfther abroad on family visa.
So i think, its time to change my fathers name. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated
