Marriage registration

Dear all,

One of my friend got marriage through Arya smaj,Bombay 4 yeras ago. At that time he got marriage certificate form Arya samj office. Accuatelly they are from Coimbatore .One of his relative was stying in that time in bombay. So that he conduct the marriage in bombay. Now they tried to add the name in passport, But passport athority required the marriage certificate issuied by goverment .

So in this case what are the good option to apply for the certificate ?... arya samaj certificate can use for the registartion ?... Is it possible to use the certificate to register in Coimbatore ?

With proof of residence in Coimbatore you can register the Hindu Marriage under the Hindu Marriage Act,1955 in the SDM office of your district, Arya Samaj marriage certificate, wedding card, photograph of marriage are sufficient proof of the marriage.

We have still some doubt. Did they accept the marraige certificate issued from other states?

And the certificte is 4 years back issued by arya samaj.

Girl was converted through the Arya samaj process. So we have that certificate too.

Is their any other procedure to do for the registration ?... please advise

Marriage certificate from Arya Samaj of any state in India, Photographs of marriage and wedding card should also be attached with application for marriage registration, converson certificate of non-Hindu should also be attached that was issued by Arya Samaj.
