Local body tax

Dear Mr. Ravivakill sir,

My personal opinion is that local tax, entry tax, octori, or LBT must be colletecd by Municipal Corporation not by private company.

Incase of private company, the MC awards order to private company via tender system. A target is set for the current year and bids are called. The one who is paying max is awarded contract. The private company starts collecting tax. By the end of year, the private company gets surplus amount then how come this amount should go to company? It is a TAX. Then it must go into govt. account.

Within MC, department should be formed and treat that dept as if private company. This will solve the above mentioned issue. The excess tax  collected will go to Govt account. By giving target for colletection as well as expenditure including staff salary the MC can achieve there good targets.
