Economic Offences (Inapplicabiity of Limitation) Act 1974 (copy attached) provides that provisions of Chapter XXXVI of Criminal Procedure Code relating to limitation period do not apply to offences under certain Acts like income tax, excise, customs, CST etc.
I would like to know whether in case of service tax (covered by Finance Act 1994) and FEMA limitation period will be applicable since the same are not covered in the Act, though FERA was covered. Further, whether Maharashtra Govt. has enacted similar law for non- non-a
