This is just to inform you that my name appears in ‘Limca Book of Records’ 2012 edition at page 111 in the category – ‘Print’- ‘Communications:

Mahesh Kapasi (b Oct 28, 1948) of De/hi, who has 11,519 letters published in 356 newspapers and magazines since 1974, holds these records as of June 21, 2010:
Most in a month: Published 109 letters in various newspapers and magazines in May 2010.
Most in a day: Published 10 letters in various newspapers and magazines on May 15, 2011.
Most in a single newspaper in a year: Published 146 letters in Central Chronicle from Bhopal between July 10, 2006 and July 9, 2007.
Longest: Published a 960-worded letter in Indian Nation, erstwhile English daily from Patna on Dec 3, 1996.
Most prizes: Won the Best Letter to the Editor prize 135 times for his letters. “
My latest tally is 12,129 letters (including 149 Prized / Best letters) in 364 newspapers and magazines.
To my credit also published more than 100 letters in 27 newspapers and magazines – including more than 200 letters in 15 newspapers, more than 300 letters in 8 newspapers, more than 400 letters in 5 newspapers and more than 500 letters in 2 newspapers.
And to my credit there are 91 Articles; 294 Poems – one in Australian and one in UK Magazine and 66 Jokes published so far.
