hello ,
we lend 10 lac rupees by cheque to a family friend before 4 years ago. now he do not pay back the money. we do not have any written agreement.
we have only cheque photo copy as a evidence.
any legal advice how can we recover our money

You must be having bank passbook entry with you. Send legal notice to the friend that you had promised to return the money however, still not made payment. If you do not repay within 15 days, you will be compelled to take legal action. That could be the preliminary step before initiating any legal action.
