Legal valididty of property registered with panchayat

If I buy a flat registered with the Panchayat, Do I have to do a registration again in case the panchayat is dissolved and the area is taken over by the municipal corporation ?

The question of registration of property with Panchayat does not arise.

One has to register the sale/purchase of property with the Sub-Registrar's office by paying applicable Stamp Duty.  Otherwise, there will be no proper legally binding TITLE to the property.

'Buyer Beware' applies to property deals.

It shall be appropriate to get proper legal opinion from a very able LOCAL senior counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in revenue/property/civil/DRT matters and well versed with LOCAL applicable rules/laws and having successful track record…. and worth his/her salt , before signing or making payment.

This may cost some FEE but can defend long term interest and hard earned monies.

Hope you have obtained proper , written legal opinion and the project had all due sanctions/approvals and also have valid/registered sale deed..

Panchayats can only accord permission for constructions but you ned to get the sale deed registered with the concerned jurisdictional Sub Registrar.
