Land registration

HI,

More than 30 yrs ago,my grandfather took a portion of land from some one but without any receipt and that portion of land is not registered as well.Now my question is : can my father register that portion of land in his name now.

Title documents disclose who the registered owner of the land/property is, Get encumbrance certificate from revenue department.

Who is in possession?

If you are not, then you have to claim it by filing civil suit, but now it delayed for more than 30 yrs, hence theory of adverse possession will come in your way.

If you are in possession , then you have better case.... still you want to prove the oral agreement by adducing evidence...
