The govt is not serious only for the sake of petty political gains. THere must be special provosions in the marriage act. so that the boy and girl who marry out side their cast and creed should be adequately given protection.

dear Social Change is not so easy....
as far as Khap Panchayats are concerned they have deep roots in the rural haryana espacially.
here we cant say that the govt is acting for mere political gains, the things are to be changed keeping in view the social set up...its not easy to change the mindset of the society with a single blow of law.
it is such a matter where a lot of teachings have to be imparted among the masses with the involvement of politicians, amdinistrators, social activists etc.
no doubt whatever happened due to Khap Panchayats is terribly wrong but its going to be a slow process to change their mind sets.
