Jurisdiction of notories

Can a Notary in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) get an affidavit sworn before him for presentation before a court / magistrate at Pune (Maharastra) ? Can anyone please throw light on territorial jurisdiction of Notaries ?

Under what rules it is possible ? or it is not allowed at all?

Notary is person appointed by the Central Government or state government under Notaries Act, 1952. The Central Government may appoint a notary for the whole or any part of the country. Likewise, the state government may appoint a notary for the entire or for any part of the state.

They has its own Jurisdiction, Some have jurisdictions all over India in the case of Notary appointed by the Central Government over whole India. In case of State it depends on the appointment specifying the Notary Jurisdictions. If the Notary has no jurisdictions in other District the Notary can not notarized the documents in question.
