Joint power of attorney

My aunt is giving power of attorney for her properties to me and wife. Can it be written in a way that either one of me or my wife can act independently?  i.e can I act alone to do financial transactions under this PoA?

Yeah . The deed can appoint joint power of attorneys . Just make sure that the wordings of the deed don't make any act possible only upon simultaneous or joint approval or consent of the attorney holders . If the GPA will be given to act jointly for anything on behalf of your aunt, then both of you should act accordingly.  if the GPA is given to act individual for any purpose then only one of the agent can act.
