Is website clone illigle in india?

Hi,

I am making a clone of a us university website and I want to know if there is an legal issue in it or it is okay to make a clone of any website.

Please answer.

The only hurdle you may face is when you take "all" codes from that website. If you are developing your own website with 100% similar features as that of any other website, it is not illegal, provided you make your own codes, you do not use any copyrighted material and none of the features of your website was already patented by any other.
