Is there something like reserve right to appeal?

In an order passed by ED for a civil penalty, a suggestion given to me was that I pay the penalty and writ in covering letter, "that due circumstances I am paying the penalty but reserve the right to appeal later".

I dont intend to appeal as of now. Should I be reserving the right to appeal still? is there any advantage to do so?

Also, is this a legally correct way of writing?
